Artificial stewed pork chop flavour noodle soup with minced pork and vegetables

Simple lunch that is from leftovers and packet noodle. I use hot boiling water from kettle and microwave the noodle with the condiments and added minced pork green beans, carrots, broccoli, and buk choy.

By now you would have guessed that I am a fan of instant packet noodles. Yesterday my sister bought me 1 box of shin ram yun and a tub of kimchi. I still have leftovers artificial stew pork chop flavoured noodle so best finish it first before I open the shin ram yun.

Do the minced pork green beans and carrots first as you don’t have leftovers. Then followed by broccoli which I par boiled in microwave while cooking the minced pork green beans and carrots. The buk choy add to the noodle that I have empty into bowls and with the condiments and then pour hot water and microwave. My simple quick lunch is delicious flavourful, colourful and comforting. Let’s cook!!!


500 g minced pork
250 g green beans, stems removed, cut into bite size
2 carrots, cut into bite size
1 small broccoli, florets
1 bunch of buk choy, cut into bite size
4 Tbs oil
3-4 Tbs Shoa Xing Chinese cooking wine
2 Tbs light soy sauce
1 Tbs oyster sauce
1 Tbs minced garlic
1 Tbs corn flour
white pepper
a pinch of salt (OPT)


Heat pan on medium heat add oil. Once oil is hot add garlic, fry until fragrant about 1 minute. Add pork, fry breaking up as you fry it. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce and pepper. Continue to toss around until it browned, and pork is cooked about 5 minutes.

Now add in carrots and green beans, a bit of water and Shoa Xing, mixing well with the pork until the vegetables are cooked and softened about 10-12 minutes. Next mix cornflour with 4 Tbs water in a cup until no lump. Then pour into the pork and vegetables, gives a couple of stir and toss until you get a caramelised dish about 4 minutes. Check the seasoning. If needed salt add in.

Put kettle on. Cut buk choy into bite size. Once boil, place broccoli in hot boiling water in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave broccoli for about 6 minutes par boil. Using the hot boiling again, pour into the prepared bowl with noodle, and condiments. Place buk choy in too. Microwave 3 minutes first.

Then bring out from microwave, add in my leftovers minced pork green beans and carrots and check if needed more hot boiling water. Then put back into microwave and cook a further 3-4 minutes until cooked, softened and warmed up. Serve immediately. Enjoy!!!!!
