Rose hips red kiwi and creaming soda drink

Four days ago my friend gave me a small bag full of rose hip fruits. I look up recipe to know how or what to use this fruit. I as usual like to create something else. I am making it a drink using this along with red kiwi from my father’s friend to call my own creation.

“Rose hips are nutrient-rich, round, red-orange fruits that form on rose plants after the petals fall. Referred to as a “superfruit,” they are commonly used in herbal teas, jams, syrups, and skincare oils due to their high vitamin C and A content, as well as anti-inflammatory properties. Straining the fruit is crucial in recipes because of the irritating hairs in the seeds. Regular consumption of rose hip powder is linked to reducing arthritis-related joint pain, while the oil hydrates the skin and helps minimize fine lines and dark spots, all while being rich in antioxidants.”

Zespri Ruby Red is a limited-edition kiwifruit with a vibrant red center and sweet, berry-like flavor. Smaller than regular kiwis, it has an edible skin and is rich in anthocyanins, which combat cell damage and inflammation. Each fruit offers a significant amount of vitamin C for immune support, contains actinidin to aid digestion and reduce bloating, and is a good source of potassium, vitamin E, and dietary fiber.”

I am happy to create this drink. It’s healthy, vibrant red colour and delicious. Let’s bring out Nutri Bullet to make this drink!!!

Ingredients

25-30 rose hips
3 red kiwi fruits
1/4 c water
1/8 Kirks creaming soda fizzy drink

Method

Wash the rose hips and pat dry. Cut the grey leaves out, and removed the black seeds. Then place rose hips flesh into Nutri Bullet. Next cut kiwi fruits in halved, using a spoon scoop the flesh out and add to Nutri bullet. Cover the Nutri Bullet with it lid. Place into the machine. Blitz until puree.

Once done, open the lid and pour into glass. Now add in the creaming soda fizzy drink. Give a couple of stirs to mix well. Chill in fridge for 1-2 hours. Just before drinking, stirs again. Enjoy!!!

Note: You can slice it and scoop out the flesh or eat the smooth skin whole for extra fiber. They ripen quickly at room temperature (like an avocado). Store them in the fridge once ripe.
