Went with my sister to Costco, bought a big packet of combination seafood; to go with my shin ram yun noodles. I am happy to get a huge packet of this combination seafood, though it’s not cheap and I bought it. I regret that my main ingredient: pitted dates that I wanted to get were no longer sold at Costco. Got to ration my remaining 3 kg box of pitted dates for our Christmas celebration dessert.
“Asian combination seafood is a versatile dish made with various seafood, stir-fried with greens and aromatics, served over rice or noodles. It is a great source of high-quality protein, low in saturated fats, and contains omega-3 fatty acids that promote heart health. This dish also provides essential minerals and vitamins, while fresh ginger, garlic, and fermented ingredients enhance immunity and aid digestion.”
I only use calamari, fish and prawn balls in my shin ram yun; adding spring onion and leftover baby spinach. My meal is colourful, satisfying, and delicious. Let’s cook!!!
Ingredients
1 packet shin ram yun
3 calamari
3 fish balls
3 prawn balls
1 stalk spring onion, cut to small size
leftover baby spinach
water
Method
Thawed the seafood that I had picked out from the big packet. Put kettle on. Empty shin rum yun and condiments packets into a bowl with a plate at the bottom for east to carry out when it is very hot from microwave. Then the seafood that I had picked and thawed into the prepared bowl.
Note: Before freezing the big packet of combination seafood, portion it into labelled freezer ziplock bags with the date. I separated enough for 7 days into 7 bags, allowing for easy thawing of one bag at a time as needed.
When water is boiled, pour enough water into prepared bowl with plate. Open the microwave door, place it inside and microwave for 5-7 minutes until everything is cooked. Enjoy with a cup of Chinese tea for me.
