Got some leftovers bought salmon slices and mushroom slices. Best use it before it becomes brown and slimy and yet am not very hungry. I don’t like wasting food so, I decided to have it with a sliced of toast.
“Sliced salmon, often referring to smoked salmon or sashimi, is a nutritious fish preparation rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and Vitamin D, supporting heart health, memory, learning, and mood. It is a great source of lean protein, which helps maintain muscle strength and healing, while the antioxidant astaxanthin contributes to its pink colour and cellular protection.”
“Sliced mushrooms are fresh or preserved mushrooms cut into thin pieces, rich in B vitamins and potassium, making them a low-calorie meat substitute. When exposed to sunlight, they produce Vitamin D for bone health. They contain no fat, low sodium, and help lower cholesterol, supporting heart health. Additionally, they provide fibers and antioxidants that enhance gut bacteria and boost the immune system.”
I am a fan of chili and chili sauce. I have added it to my sliced salmon and mushrooms. Glad to finish off both salmon and mushroom. It’s healthy, spicy and delicious. Let’s not waste food and make it!!!
Ingredients
1 sliced of bread
leftover sliced salmon
leftover sliced mushrooms
butter
chili sauce or tomato sauce
Method
Use paper towel to pat dry sliced salmon. Throw the paper towel in the bin right away. Always wash your hands and clean your kitchen counters with hot soapy water after handling raw fish. Use fresh new paper towel to wipe the mushrooms dry to get rid of any dirt’s. Set aside.
Place the sliced bread into the toaster and toast. Once done, spread butter over it. Then place sliced salmon on top. Followed by sliced mushrooms. Drizzle chili sauce over the top of mushrooms. Serve immediately with a cup of tea. Enjoy!!!
