Egg white minced pork and vegetables

I made Indonesian layer cake that require 20 yolks for Chinese New Year celebration. I had kept the 20 whites in a clean container. Today, I decide to cook it with some leftover minced pork and mixed vegetables: carrot, peas and corns. It’s a simple dish to go with rice.

Ingredients

20 egg whites
200 g frozen mixed vegetables
180 g minced pork
1 Tbs minced garlic
1 Tbs teriyaki sauce
2 Tbs shao xing wine
salt
pepper
oil

Method

Heat a saucepan with 2 Tbs oil on medium heat. Once it’s hot add minced garlic, cook for about 1 minute. Now add in minced pork, cook stirring for about 4-5 minutes until brown.

Then add another 1 Tbs oil and pour in egg whites, toss around for 1-2 minutes. Next pour in shao xing wine, and teriyaki sauce, stir to coat the egg and minced pork. Season with salt and pepper. Continue cooking till pork and egg are cooked. Now add in mixed vegetables, toss around for 2-4 minutes. Spoon onto a serving oval plate and serve with rice. Enjoy!!!!
