My dad bought me a papaya, and my sister gave me some of her Vietnamese basil. I got leftover strawberries and blueberries and one biscuit. Then I have about 20 ml thickened cream which will expire in a day. Best use it as I don’t like to waste food.
Google: “Vietnamese basil: Rau Que, Húng Que. Tasting notes: sweet / spice, anise / licorice. Culinary uses: Eaten raw. Smelling this basil is to be reminded of a piping hot bowl of pho noodle soup and in many common herb plates. Medicinal: Antibacterial qualities, leaves are crushed to a paste to treat small cuts.”
“Strawberries are an excellent source of vitamin C and manganese and also contain decent amounts of folate (vitamin B9) and potassium. Strawberries are very rich in antioxidants and plant compounds, which may have benefits for heart health and blood sugar control. Blueberries protect against heart disease and cancer, and can also help maintain bone strength, mental health, and healthful blood pressure. Blueberries contain a plant compound called anthocyanin. This gives blueberries both their blue color and many of their health benefits.”
Papaya: “The possible health benefits of consuming papaya include a reduced risk of heart disease, diabetes, cancer, aiding in digestion, improving blood glucose control in people with diabetes, lowering blood pressure, and improving wound healing.”
Today I have all the healthy fruits and with a bit of unhealthy once a while is good but eat in moderation. The taste is licorice sweet and I enjoyed it with biscuit dipping in. Be brave explore the combination of herb and fruits in smoothie and biscuit. Let’s make smoothie!!!
