Mapo tofu

I found this mapo tofu sauce in the Asian grocery, decided to buy and try it. This is a cheat way of making mapo tofu. Just wanted to try and taste to see what the taste like and I like it.

It’s not very spicy for me. I cook it according to the packet for the ingredients. The packet said only need minced pork, soft tofu and this mapo tofu sauce. Next time I will try make from scratch and add a bit more ingredients.

Well, it’s looks good, taste delicious but I would have like it spicier. Next time I might add more chili sauce, perhaps spring onion and a bit more minced pork. Let’s cook!!!

100 g minced pork
250 g soft silken tofu
1 packet mapo tofu, 80 g
1 Tbs minced garlic
1-2 Tbs oil

Heat oil in saucepan on medium heat. Then add garlic and cook until fragrant about 1 minute. Then add minced pork cook for about 5-7 minutes until cook through. Then gently add in tofu, toss around for 2-4 minutes. Next add in the mapo tofu sauce, mix well to combined for about 2-3 minutes. Serve with rice and a dish of vegetables. Enjoy it with a glass of white wine.
