Bought burger, cos lettuce and egg. Today I am experimenting pan cook foam egg white, with cured yolk that I saw on google some time ago. Addition to it, I am adding beef burger, salad, and chili flakes. I am chili fan.
Google: “Salt and sugar-cured egg yolks are an easy and delicious way to add a rich, umami flavour to almost any dish – including pizza. After several days of curing fresh yolks in salt and sugar, this homemade condiment achieves a cheese-like texture and savoury aroma. Because it’s cured (i.e. preserved) it can also be stored in your fridge for several weeks, making it a convenient add-on for an extra kick of taste. The condensed richness of the fatty yolks, combined with the salty and slightly sweet cure also makes them a delicious substitution for grated parmesan.”
Google: “Hamburgers are often thought of as greasy, unhealthy fast food. However, the truth is that hamburgers can actually bring many health benefits to the table. Beef burger offers a variety of vitamins and minerals, protein, healthy fats, and complex carbs – all things your body needs for everyday function and optimal wellness! One of the most beneficial aspects of burgers is their high protein content. Protein helps build muscle mass and keeps your energy levels up throughout the day. Each burger patty contains around 15-25g of quality protein that has been proven to keep you feeling fuller for longer periods of time. This means less snacking between meals which in turn leads to a healthier weight overall. Hamburgers also contain B vitamins, which are very important for energy production and reducing stress. B vitamins help convert fats, carbohydrates, and proteins into fuel for the body so you can power through your day without feeling fatigued or anxious.”
This is an experimenting and multi-staking cooking. Be sure to look after two saucepans at the same time. My dinner is creative, colourful, healthy, and delicious. Let’s cook!!!
Ingredients
Cured egg yolk
1 egg yolk
125 g salt
125 sugar
Pan egg beef burger salad on bread
2 slices of bread
1 egg white
1 store bought beef burger
cos lettuce
butter
oil
salt
pepper
chili flakes
Method
Do the cured egg first
In a medium bowl, mix the salt and sugar. Put half of the salt and sugar mixture into a medium airtight container. Using a spoon, create a yolk sized indentation in the salt and sugar mixture.
Crack the eggs, separate the yolk from the white and carefully slide the yolks into the indentation. Pour the remaining of the salt and sugar mixture into the container. (The yolks should be completely covered). Place white in a bowl with cling wrap in fridge. Close the container with yolk and place in your fridge for 1 day.
The next day
Let the bought burger sit on benchtop to room temperature if burgers are in freezer. If bought a few hours before cooking. Open the packaging. Take one burger out. Spread butter on the two slices of bread, then place one onto a plate followed by some cos lettuce. Set aside. Heat saucepan on medium high heat. Add olive oil. Once hot, add the bought burger to pan. Cook for 3-6 minutes on each side. Flip burger and repeat. Cook until desired doneness is reached.
Bring out egg white and yolk in container from fridge to bench top. In a small round, saucepan, add 1 Tbs butter and 1 Tsp oil on low heat. Pour egg white into the butter/oil pan. Season with salt and pepper. With a battery hand beater, beat the white until foam appears. Cook until base is light brown and egg white are foamy, make a yolk sized indentation in the middle. Gently lift the cured egg yolk and place in the foam indentation. Season with pepper, warm yolk for 1-2 minutes. Switch off heat and remove saucepan from hob.
When burger done cooked, transfer to the ready sliced bread with cos lettuce, sprinkles some chili flakes on top of burger. Next place the pan cooked foam egg white with cured yolk on top of the burger. Sprinkles chili flakes. Place the second slice of buttered bread leaning on the pan cooked egg. Serve with a cold beer. Enjoy!!!
