Egg burger with lettuces

Food from pantry and fridge. I have run out of food and due to advise by Govt to stay in door unless needed to go out and wear mask. What shall I eat? Anyone can cook when you are hungry, as well as it is a budget meal. Hmm, let see what I have.

OK I got half dozen eggs left; best keep 3 eggs for something else, milk, bread, leftover beef burger which I bought a week ago at sale price, 10 burgers for $9, and few leaves of lettuce from making burger dinner a few days ago.

Put on my thinking hat, how to cook with these ingredients that I have. Ugh!! huh!!! eggs versatile can poach, fry, boil, bake in muffin tray, can use it as marinate dip for baking or as tarter -raw mixed with uncooked burger place on top of lettuces.Milk to go with coffee. Nope, I don’t want to get stomach or diarrhea.

Come on mind think be creative and exercise. Hooray!!! I got a creative way of using them all in one pan. This egg burger is simple, easy, quick and creative and must have chili in it. It’s delicious, clean, and comfort dinner; at last my stomach is satisfied. Let’s cook!!!

Ingredients
3 eggs
4 Tbs milk
1 beef burger
1 slice of bread
a few leaves of lettuce
butter to spread on bread
salt
pepper
oil
chili sauce (OPT)

Method

Heat pan on medium heat, add oil until hot then add in burger. Cook about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked. Remove and drain in paper towel, cut into half and set aside. Beat the eggs lightly and add milk, salt and pepper to taste and give a couple of whisk to mix well.

Spread butter on bread both side, and cut into half. Using the same pan, add a bit more oil on med heat when it’s hot pour the egg mixture in, let cook for 2-3 minutes. Then place the bread in soak a little in egg mixture and flip bread over the other side leaving a small gap in between the bread.

Now place the halves burger on top of the halves bread. By now the bottom of the egg would have set. Gently with spatula, slit the gap of bread; flip one side the egg over onto bread. Followed by the other sides making it like a parcel square shapes. Then turn over the parcel and cook to brown lightly.

Once done, remove plate up and serve with lettuces on the side. Squirt chili sauce on top of egg burger. Enjoy!!!

Note: you can add salad on top of burger, pickled cucumber anything. Make sure not too much as the egg would be able to wrap it. You can sprinkle chili flakes or cheese. Or add mayonnaise or aioli. You can use any type of bread you have or like. You can add herbs or spices to your egg mixture.
