Fig raspberry smoothie

Figs are abundance in my backyard, though some of the figs are eaten by the birds. I managed to get some plum big size figs. In my fridge there are some raspberries that aren’t going to last for another 2 days. I have also runout of castor sugar. Can’t bake a cake with figs and raspberries.

I have some thickened cream, so I’ve decided to make a smoothie, which is a nutrient-dense beverage made from pureed fruits, vegetables, and liquids that can serve as a meal replacement or snack, boosting vitamin, mineral, and fiber intake while improving gut health and sustaining energy levels.

“Figs are sweet, fibrous fruits from the Ficus tree, rich in fiber, potassium, calcium, and antioxidants, supporting digestive health, regulating blood pressure, and improving bone density. They aid digestion, counteract high sodium intake, and provide a non-dairy source of calcium and magnesium. Figs contain polyphenols and flavonoids that protect against oxidative stress, help keep you full, and offer a sweet energy boost. However, due to their high Vitamin K content, those on blood-thinning medication should monitor their intake.”

My smoothie is healthy and delicious. Let’s get Nutri Bullet out to do the job!!!

Ingredients

6 plum figs, stems removed and cut to bite size
8 raspberries
1/8 c thickened cream
1/8 c raspberry fizzy drink (OPT)

Method

In nutri bullet, place figs, raspberries, thickened cream in. Cover the cup and Blitz until pureed. Now pour some into a glass and then pour raspberry fizzy drink. Stir a few stirs to mixed well. Chill in fridge foe 1-2 hours. Just before serving, give a stir or two. Enjoy!!!

Note: If you are not using raspberry fizzy drink, your thickened cream will be 1/4 c. You can add in ice cubes.
