Shin ram yun mixed frozen vegetables bean shoots with XO chili sauce

The weather is extremely hot, with a high of 41 degrees C. I didn’t want to go out to get fresh vegetables and meat. I am glad to have mixed frozen vegetables: carrots, corn, and peas to go with my favourite noodles, Shin ram yun, that I asked my sister to get a box of 30 packets for rainy days and emergencies from time to time.

Today, I craved an extra spicy meal that is simple. I found that I had leftover XO chili sauce in my pantry. I added it to my Shin ram yun noodles. This meal doesn’t require a lot of utensils or ingredients. All that is needed is hot boiling water and some mixed frozen vegetables with XO chili sauce. You don’t have to use XO chili sauce; you can use garlic onion chili sauce, which you can get from an Asian grocery.

My dinner is spicy, colourful and delicious. Let’s cook!!!

Ingredients

1 packet of Shin ram yun noodles
water
some mixed frozen vegetables: carrots, corns and peas, thawed
leftover XO chili sauce, about 1-2 Tbs

Method

Put kettle on. Oen and empty the noodles and condiments that comes with it into a bowl with a plate at the bottom for easy to carry out from microwave. Put some mixed frozen vegetables in with the noodles and condiments.

Once water is boiled, pour enough into the prepared bowl with noodles and condiments. Carefully place into the microwave. Cook on high for 5-7 minutes. Stop microwave and check at 5 minutes to see if noodles are soft. Gives a couple of stirs to mixed well. Continued a further 2 minutes until noodles are cooked.

Carefully bring out noodles from microwave and served immediately with a cold beer!!!
