Figs and grapes yogishake

Got some leftover grapes and yoghurt. My garden has abundant of figs. As it is a hot day, needed some refreshing drink that are healthy and can be chilled.

“Figs are sweet, nutrient-dense fruits rich in dietary fiber, potassium, calcium, and antioxidants, offering benefits such as improved digestion, better bone health, and blood pressure regulation. They act as a natural laxative, support gut health, and provide essential vitamins and minerals. However, due to their high sugar content, they may not be suitable for low-calorie or diabetic diets if consumed in excess. Their high vitamin K content can also interfere with blood-thinning medications.”

“Green grapes are nutritious, low-calorie berries high in antioxidants, vitamins C and K, and potassium. They promote heart health, boost immunity, aid digestion, and support skin health, while also helping to regulate blood pressure and lower cholesterol. Additionally, their high fiber content and mineral composition contribute to strong bones and weight loss efforts.”

“Yogurt is a nutrient-dense, fermented dairy product made by adding cultures to milk, offering benefits such as improved digestive health, bone strength, and immune support. It aids in weight management, gut health, and blood pressure regulation, while containing probiotics that can alleviate IBS symptoms. Rich in calcium and often fortified with vitamin D, yogurt promotes bone density and satiety, particularly Greek yogurt with high protein content. Regular consumption of yogurt with live cultures may reduce inflammation and support immunity, and it is generally easier to digest for lactose-intolerant individuals.”

Let’s get Nutri Bullet out and blitz the healthy drink!!!

Ingredients

8 Tbs yoghurt
8 green grapes, wash and cut half
8 figs
1/2 c water
1/4-1/2 c milk

Blitz in batches all the ingredients, except the milk. Pour the blitz ingredients into glasses. Chilled in fridge for 2-4 hours. Note: I had chilled mine in the freezer for 15 minutes. Then removed to fridge for 2 hours.

Then use the small battery hand mixer to frost the milk. Divide the frosted milk into 2 glasses. Before serving, do give it a stir or two. Enjoy the chilled healthy drink!!!
