Oreo Christmas wreath

Get ahead for Christmas

If you are looking for a stress-free no bake, budget, bright colourful dessert to take to party or just wanted a nice little festive dessert to end your family dinner. Then this dessert is perfect for ending warm Summer Christmas. I have leftover of my cream cheese frosting; I am using it to make this wreath as I don’t like wasting food. I had added the cream cheese frosting and snow balls recipe for you to try.

Google: “Christmas wreaths are made by twisting or bending evergreen branches into a large circle which are then decorated with pinecones and a red bow. The circle shape of the wreath is made to represent Christ’s eternal love, his strength, and the creation of new life.”

This Christmas make a promise to Jesus that you will be good human. Be transformed by remembering that Jesus dies for us. So, treat everyone and everything that have breath well: Loving is Giving without expecting returns, seek forgiveness or repent your sins, doing good things. You surely don’t want to be on the naughty list of Santa. Make peace with the world

I am glad that I can turn my frosting into another creation idea for Christmas. I have also made some more snow balls for my snack, using my leftover raspberries to brighten up my wreath Let’s get Christmas wreath to shine throughout the world!!!

Ingredients

Snow balls (one day in advance)

320 g canned condensed milk
320 g shredded coconut
chocolate sprinkles
bright colour sprinkles

Cream cheese frosting

250 g cream cheese
250 g icing sugar
113 g unsalted butter, room temperature
125 ml thickened cream

Oreo Christmas wreath

2 packets, each 133 g
raspberries
bright colour sprinkles
whipped cream (bottle) (OPT)

Method

One day in advance

Add shredded coconut and condensed milk in a bowl. Mix well with a spoon until combined. Wear gloves and use a tablespoon to scoop some up onto your hand, roll them into balls. Place them on a lined tray. Sprinkles some chocolate sprinkles over some snow balls just for colour. Allow the snow balls to firm up in fridge for about 2-4 hours. When it had firmed up, store them in an airtight container in fridge until ready to eat or as decorations for cake.

The next day

To make frosting

Note: Make sure the unsalted butter is at room temperature. I leave mine out overnight when it’s cold weather, but in the hotter months this can take as little as 30 minutes!

Beat butter in a metal basin until light and smooth about 1 minute. Add cream cheese beat until light and smooth about 4 minutes. Next add icing sugar beating for 5 minutes to make it really smooth. Now, add thickened cream beating again until increase in volume about 5 minutes. Place in fridge, cover with cling wrap so it will be a bit firm as spreadable consistency.

To make Christmas wreath

Bring out the cream cheese frosting, remove the cling wrap sit for about 3minutes. Get a plate, open up the oreo biscuits packaging, using whipped cream, squirt some cream around the plate in a circle.

Next use a teaspoon scoop small amount of frosting smear onto oreo and for the first dollop a tiny frosting at the bottom to secure it to stand straight up. Then take a second oreo biscuit, smear some frosting and gently glue it to the first. Repeat till you get a good circle.

Now with the remaining frosting, coat all around the oreo wreath inside and outside. Next, sprinkles the bright colour sprinkles all over the wreath and cover all the sides. Then three snow balls in the centre of wreath and one on top followed by one raspberry on top of snow balls. Place 4 raspberries around the wreath. Place the plate in the fridge to firm up the frosting until needed. Enjoy it with the extra raspberries snow balls with coffee and/or tea.

Note: Snow balls can be stored in an airtight container up to 5 days in fridge, 1 month in freezer. You can decorate with anything that is colourful and Christmases colours. You can drop a tiny green colouring into your frosting if you like.
