Bought the silicon dome for making chocolate. I decided to try after watching Masterchef dessert. It got me craving and keen to try out. With leftover of my dark chocolate. All I needed is two ingredients.
Google: “Dark chocolate is a form of chocolate containing cocoa solids, cocoa butter and sugar without the milk or butter found in milk chocolate. Dark chocolate without added sweetener is known as bitter chocolate or unsweetened chocolate. Dark chocolate is rich in minerals, such as iron, magnesium, and zinc. it can have various health benefits, including reducing inflammation and decreasing the risk of heart disease.”
“Chocolate comes from cacao, a plant with high levels of minerals and antioxidants. Commercial milk chocolate contains cocoa butter, sugar, milk, and small quantities of cacao. In contrast, dark chocolate has much larger amounts of cacao and less sugar than milk chocolate.”
I am glad to tryout. It looks so cute and great to have it for garnish. I am making half recipe just to test. Will make more when Nearing Christmas Day. It’s easy and will be great for garnishing cake or eat it on its own. Let’s make them!!!
Ingredients
75 g dark melting chocolate chips
1/2 Tsp truffle infused oil or any oil
Method
Place dark melting chocolate chips into a metal bowl that sit tightly on a pot with hot water. Stir from the centre out to helps melt the chocolate. Keep stirring until it is fully melted. Removed from the pot, now add in oil.
Gives a couples of stirs until it looks glossy. Let it cool for a few minutes. Then pour into a jug for easy to fill the small domes. Gives a couple of gentle knock-on bench to even them. Then place in freezer for 4-6 hours or overnight.
I removed the chocolate domes from freezer the next day and sit for about 4-5 minutes then unmould them and put into an airtight container and back into freezer. It can last longer about 1-2 weeks. You can use the domes for decorations on cakes or ice cream or eat it on its own.
