Bakkwa salad sandwich with berries and biscuits

My mom bought this bakkwa and gave me one piece. It’s expensive but once a while eating it is ok. We used to have it often in Malaysia. I consider it a luxury meat.

Google: “Bak Kwa is the Hokkien (Fujianese) word for dried meat. It is actually more like wafer thin slices of barbecued pork jerky. Unlike beef jerky which is usually dehydrated to remove the moisture in the meat, Malaysian Chinese style pork jerky is moist and grilled to perfection over charcoal fire.”

Since it’s a luxury meat, I am adding salad, my favourite fruits strawberries and blueberries. I am also using up the last few biscuits my dad friend gave him and he shared some with me at least it’s not wasted. I am also using the black plate from my cousin. My lunch is simple, colourful and luxury delicious. Let’s create a beautiful luxury lunch!!!

Ingredients

1 bought piece bakkwa
2 slices of bread
2 strawberries
10 blueberries
biscuits
mixed salad
butter, spread on read

Method

Put the bread in a toaster, toast it to your liking. Spread butter over both the bread, lay some salad on top of one toast. Then place bakkwa on top of salad. Next the other toast bread on top.

Put two strawberries on the left side of the bread, on the right the biscuits. At the bottom, line blueberries into rows. Serve with a cup of coffee. Enjoy my luxury lunch.
