Mortadella cheese and salad on buttered toasted bread

Meal for one

Went to buy bread and found mortadella is on sale. Bought it with rocket leaves. Forgotten to get eggs. My lazy and quick meal.

“Mortadella is a large Italian sausage made from cured pork and fat, typically flavoured with black peppercorns and sometimes other ingredients like pistachios or olives. It has a mottled pink appearance and is a good source of protein, B vitamins, and minerals that support immune health. Its cooked form makes it easier to digest compared to raw meats. While it offers beneficial monounsaturated fats from added ingredients, it also has a high fat and calorie content, so it should be consumed in moderation, especially for those with high blood pressure.”

“Kraft cheese, such as Kraft Singles, is a pasteurized process cheese product made from milk, whey, and other ingredients. While it provides calcium and protein essential for bone health and muscle function, it is high in sodium and saturated fat, necessitating moderation in consumption. The individually wrapped slices offer convenience for snacks and meals, and many products are fortified with vitamin D to enhance calcium absorption.”

Do you at time, thinking you will remember to buy the items; then when you come back, you realise that you forgot the most important item you needed. Well, I sure did at time forget my most important item. Anyway, I am happy to get my bread, mortadella, cheese and rocket leaves. Let’s eat and remember to write the list down!!!
