My weekend lunch is quick and easy. No hassle and not many utensils to wash up. Today, it’s a relaxing day for me. Glad to have some canned tuna; different flavours too but more of the chili tuna, that’s me must have chili. Whether is crazy freezing, don’t like going out and catching cold.
Google: “Canned tuna with chili is a pre-packaged food item that combines tuna fish with chili peppers and other flavourings, often in brine or oil. It’s a convenient way to enjoy both tuna and a spicy kick in one can, suitable for snacks, salads, or as part of a larger meal. The research behind tuna consumption is good and canned tuna is included in the NHMRC Australian Guide to Healthy Eating as a good source of protein and healthy fats. Our advice would be to consume as part of a healthy balanced diet, however make sure you drain the can to remove some of the salt (sodium).”
“Curly lettuce, also called frisée or curly endive, is a leafy green with a unique curly look. It’s part of the chicory family and has a slightly bitter taste, especially in the darker leaves. This lettuce is rich in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as folate, while being low in calories and high in fiber. Red varieties contain antioxidants like beta-carotene and vitamin E, which help detoxify the body and protect against damage from free radicals. The antioxidants can lower heart disease risk, and the high fiber aids digestion and prevents constipation. Curly lettuce’s high water content helps with hydration, and its nutritious profile makes it a good option for weight management. It also supports blood clotting and bone health due to vitamin K and contains lutein and zeaxanthin, which are good for eye health. Additionally, folate in curly lettuce is vital for cell growth and fetal development during pregnancy. You can enjoy curly lettuce in salads, soups, stews, and more for added flavour and texture.”
