Oreo butter cake with butter glazed and chocolate

Here’s another birthday celebration for my father. This time all the family requested butter cake. My family’s favourite comes first, I have used oreo chocolate with butter, for the garnish I am making a variety design chocolate and butter glazed to create next level dessert for Birthday Celebration.

Google: “A butter cake is a cake in which one of the main ingredients is butter. Butter cake is baked with basic ingredients: butter, sugar, eggs, flour, and leavening agents such as baking powder or baking soda. It is considered one of the quintessential cakes in American baking.”

Google:” Leavening agents, such as baking powder and baking soda, play a crucial role in making cakes rise and achieve a fluffy texture. These agents produce carbon dioxide gas when combined with liquid and heat, creating air pockets that lighten the batter. In addition, butter is to be softened and it should still be cool to touch and not warm, melted. “During the creaming stage of butter and sugar, the mixing will create air pockets in the butter and this will result in a soft and fluffy cake. If the butter is too warm it will not create the desired air pockets and this will result in a dense cake.”

This time I am not using sour cream but whole milk, and multi-vitamin juice. I am glad to tryout multi-vitamin juice. The cake looks beautiful, moist and delicious. Let’s bake!!!!

Ingredients

250 g butter, softened
200 g plain flour
200 g castor sugar
1 Tsp baking powder
1 Tsp bicarb
1 Tsp salt
1 Tsp vanilla extract
4 eggs
100 ml full cream milk
60 ml multi-vitamin juice
6 oreo chocolate biscuits, crushed

Dark and white chocolate

150 g dark chocolate
1 Tsp oil
150 g white chocolate
1 Tsp oil

Garnish

100-125 g butter, melted
4 oreo chocolate biscuits, crushed

Method

Do the chocolates one day in advance

Double boiler: Place some water in pot and metal bowl with dark chocolate. Make sure bowl sit perfectly, no steam can escape. Stir from centre out until completely melted. Then add oil and gives a stir. Set to cool slightly before spooning onto the varies moulds. Place in freezer 4 hours to set or overnight.

Using the same pot check enough water, another metal bowl with white chocolate. Make sure bowl sit perfectly, no steam can escape. Stir from centre out until completely melted. Then add oil and gives a stir. Set to cool slightly before spooning onto the varies moulds. Place in freezer 4 hours to set or overnight. To remove from mould after 4 hours, thawed about 10-15 minutes. Then place in airtight container and place back in freezer until needed.

The following day

Preheat oven 160 degrees C fan forced. Grease and line 9 “spring form pan. Mix flour, baking powder, bicarb and salt well in a deep plate. Beat butter and sugar for about 3-5 minutes until pale and fluffy. Add 1 egg at a time, beating well each addition until creamy about 1-2 minutes after adding each egg. Scrapping all sides down for even mixing. Add in vanilla and mix well.

Fold in half flour mixture and 6 oreo crushed in direction North to South and East to West until combined well. Repeat with the remaining flour mixture, milk, and   multi-vitamin juice until combined well. Spoon onto prepared pan. To prevent cake from browning too fast after 30 minutes cover with foil or a big metal bowl. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until skewer comes out clean.

Switch off oven, leave cake in 10 minutes. Remove from oven to cool further 10 minutes. Then flip onto a cake base or plate to cool completely. When cake is completely cool down, melted butter in microwave a few seconds at interval. Let butter cool slightly about 5 minutes. Spread over the top of the cake. Then sprinkles 4 oreo chocolate crushed over the top of butter glazed.

About 10 minutes before serving cake, bring out the chocolate container from freezer. Place a heart shape chocolate in the centre followed by a white butterfly leaning at the bottom of heart shape. Next on top of heart shape place a lighted candle. Two heart shapes opposite each other. So too the white chocolate opposite each other after the heart shapes. Next place 3 varies dark chocolate on the outer and top and the other 3 varies dark chocolates on the outer and bottom. Serve cake with extra chocolates, coffee, tea or dessert wine. Enjoy!!!!
