Royal gala apples are on sale, with a mango from my mom and abundance of figs. As a crazy fruits puree person and to fill me up for longer. I am making a smoothie. Do drink smoothie in moderation.
Google: “A smoothie is a beverage made by puréeing ingredients in a blender. A smoothie commonly has a liquid base, such as fruit juice or milk, yogurt or ice cream. Other ingredients may be added, including fruits, vegetables, non-dairy milk, crushed ice, whey powder or nutritional supplements.”
“While they provide several health benefits, drinking too many smoothies can negatively affect your health. They can add a lot of unforeseen calories, especially when a smoothie is simply a beverage with a meal.”
Google: “Apples are a nutritious, tasty choice full of beneficial plant compounds and dietary fiber. Every variety has its own unique combination of antioxidants, making them diverse and delightful. Although the saying “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” may not be medically accurate, there are still plenty of reasons to enjoy apples regularly. Apples are among the most popular and widely consumed fruits in the world. Besides being easily accessible and boasting a shelf life of up to a year, they’re also highly nutritious.”
“The phenolic content in the Royal Gala apple is higher compared to other apple varieties, and it exhibits a higher antioxidant capacity. Additionally, the apple provides a significant amount of total fiber and vitamin C, making it a healthy choice for a balanced diet. They’re rich in fiber, vitamins, minerals, and polyphenols. Polyphenols are a group of antioxidants, molecules that fight free radicals in your body. Among their many health benefits, antioxidants may help prevent cancer, inflammation, heart disease, and weight gain.”
Google: “Mango is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, and it has been associated with many health benefits, including potential anticancer effects, as well as improved immunity and digestive and eye health. Best of all, it’s tasty and easy to add to your diet as part of smoothies and many other dishes.”
“It has fiber and other nutrients you need. But it also has natural sugar, and some have more than others. For example, one mango has a whopping 46 grams of sugar — not your best choice if you’re trying to watch your weight or how much sugar you eat. Maybe enjoy a couple of slices and save the rest for later.”
Remember anything you eat, eat in moderation. I am glad to only put 5 cubes of mango into my other fruits to make smoothie. I love royal gala compared to other types of apples. Here’s my healthy smoothie that are delicious and great combinations. Enjoy in moderation!!!
Ingredients
1 royal gala apple, cut into bite size
5 mango cubes
3 Tbs mango flavoured yoghurt
4 figs, stems remove and cut into wedges
1/4 c water, plus extra
Method
Put apples, cubes mango, figs, yoghurt and water into Nutri Bullet. Blend until puree. If needed more water add some more. Mango can be quite thickened when puree. Then pour about 3/4 c into glasses, then refrigerate for 1 hour. Before serving, I add some more water, gives a stir or two. Enjoy in moderation!!!
