Got Angelina plums abundant in my garden. I somehow never like this plum as the skins tend to be bitter when you eat the fruit on its own. I decide to try and make it as a drink to go with blueberries and orange juice to combine the taste.
Google: “The Angelina Plum/Prune is a European variety that produces fruit early in the season. Its global distribution can be attributed to its’ excellent flavour profile, rich red colour, and suitability to cooking! This is a great plum/prune for the home gardener.”
Thanks to my former homeowner whom had planted this plum tree. My family loves to eat them with skins on. I don’t like the bitter taste. Yet I am willing to try it by adding other fruit. It changes the taste, its ok not bitter but sweeten by orange juice. Everybody got different taste bud. Let’s make it!!!
Ingredients
75 g blueberries
4-6 Angelina plums, cut into half and remove seeds
1/4 c water
orange juice
Method
Put blueberries, Angelina plums and water into Nutri Bullet. Blend until puree. Pour about 3/4 c into each glass. Then top up with orange juice. Chill for about 1 hour. Just before serving, stir again. Enjoy!!!
