
Abundant figs in my garden, have been making a lot of drink with figs. Here I am making figs smoothies with skim milk and garnish with colourful sprinkles. Since butter and eggs are expensive, I am not making fig cake. Just have to do with what I can get and have. Only three ingredients are needed.
Google: “Green figs are generally larger and plumper than black figs. When ripe, the figs will be pale lime green with pink to brown variegation that start from the shoulders. The weight of the fig is in direct correlation with its ripeness and sugar content. A heavy fig is a good sign that it is ready-to-eat now.”

There are many ways to make use of figs. You can make fig jam, cake, panna cotta, drink and smoothie. This is a simple way and it’s healthy to drink smoothie. I am glad to have figs and make use of it. It’s cooling to drink on a hot day and taste delicious. Let’s make it and put in fridge to cool it.
Ingredients
8-12 plums figs, stems remove, and cut into half, divide
1/2 c skim milk or full cream milk, divide
colourful sprinkles
Method
Place half figs and 1/4 c into Nutri Bullet and blend until puree. Repeat with the remaining. Pour into glasses. Refrigerate for 1-4 hours. Before serving sprinkle some colourful sprinkles on top. Enjoy your cool smoothie.
Note: You might want to use water instead of milk so It’s not too heavy. If you want it more creamy use thickened cream or add banana with water.
