Today, the weather is extremely hot at 39 degrees. I don’t want to be in the kitchen cooking my dinner. I am glad I had freezed some turkey sliced that my brother in law made for Xmas 2024 and gave me a container of them. I got some leftovers of mixed salad and blueberries. Finally finished off both leftovers.
Google: “The turkey is a large bird in the genus Meleagris, native to North America. There are two extant turkey species: the wild turkey (Meleagris gallopavo) of eastern and central North America and the ocellated turkey (Meleagris ocellata) of the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico. Males of both turkey species have a distinctive fleshy wattle, called a snood, that hangs from the top of the beak. They are among the largest birds in their ranges. As with many large ground-feeding birds (order Galliformes), the male is bigger and much more colourful than the female.”
Sometimes it’s a good idea to have ready cooked leftovers meat in the freezer for days that you are sick, can’t get out to buy food, extremely hot or cold day, or perhaps too tired to get out of the house. This is a quick and simple meal that I had it thawed 2-4 hours on the sink board. Then heat it in microwave. Adding some salad and blueberries for colour as well as healthy meal. Let’s warmed up the turkey slices!!!
Ingredients
2-3 Turkey slices
mixed salad
medley tomatoes
blueberries
chili sauce (OPT)
Method
Thawed the turkey slices on the sink board. Wash and dry the salad, medley tomatoes, and blueberries. When the turkey meat has come to room temperature, pat it dry with a paper towel. Plate them on a plate.
Microwave them until hot enough. Next add mixed salad, medley tomatoes and blueberries. Serve immediately. Enjoy with a cold white wine.
