Figs are abundant in my garden. Time to use them before the birds peck, eat and destroy the whole figs. I got some leftovers strawberries and double cream. I don’t like wasting food. Glad I could find way to get rid of it. Tomorrow I am going to get new fresh double cream.
Trying to lose weight have been putting a lot of weight, so this smoothie is my dinner with some leftovers Kueh kapek (Chinese New Year biscuits) I bought it for our Chinese New Year celebration. Finally finished the Kueh Kapek too.
I am beginning to like the idea of adding some fizzy drink. It does certainly give me some above my smoothie. Guess for a change why not try something different rather than having orange juice. Got to make food and drink interesting to eat and drink as well as taste hearty, comforting, good, beautiful, flavourful and something delicious. My smoothie is satisfying, good and beautiful. Let’s make smoothie!!!
Ingredients
6 plum size figs
4 big strawberries
1 Tbs double cream
5 Tbs water
raspberry fizzy drink
Method
Wash both the fruits, dry, cut of stems away and cut into half. Place in Nutri bullet with double cream and water. Blitz until puree. Pour into glasses. As I don’t want to waste food, I have added some raspberry fizzy drink into the Nutri bullet, cover with the blade cover, gives a couple of shakes to wash away the bits of the fruits puree on top of the glasses. Chill for about 20-25 minutes in fridge. If you really like it cooler, place in the freezer for 15 minutes. Enjoy!!!!
