Air fryer cayenne salmon bought calamari and chips with tartare sauce

Lazy and cheat meal for one

I bought calamari and chips for my nephew’s lunch. My parents wanted us to go to McDonald’s. The next day, I had the calamari with salmon. It’s an easy meal for one. I don’t like deep-fried food because of the oil splatters and waste, so I only buy it occasionally.

Google: “Eating salmon has many health benefits, such as promoting heart health. Due to its omega-3 fatty acids and potassium, salmon can reduce artery inflammation, lower cholesterol levels, maintain blood pressure, prevent excess fluid retention, and reduce the risk of heart attacks, strokes, abnormal heartbeat, high blood pressure, and high triglycerides.”

“Salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential for scalp and skin health, as well as for promoting bone health. These nutrients support scalp health, give hair shine, and help prevent dry scalp and dull hair. Additionally, salmon is an excellent source of vitamin D and calcium, which are crucial for maintaining healthy bones.”

Google: “Any nutritionist you talk to will agree that omega-3 fatty acids are some of the most important tools that your body can use. Luckily, calamari is a great source of them! These fatty acids are important to your heart’s health as well as your immune system’s health. Calamari is Rich in Protein-In a simple 3 ounce serving of calamari, you can find 13 grams of protein. Protein is especially helpful for building muscle and helping your body to sustain energy. If your diet lacks protein based foods, calamari could be a good one to add to the mix!”

Today, I’m not having green vegetables. I air-fried salmon to go with store-bought calamari and fries with tartare sauce. It’s a nice bonus since my nephew prefers McDonald’s. My salmon is spicy and delicious. Let’s air-fry the salmon and heat up the calamari and fries!

Ingredients

1 small salmon piece
2 Tsp garlic powder
salt
black pepper
cayenne powder
oil
spray oil

Method

Line a square shallow tray with foil that can fit into the air fryer cup. Place the calamari and chips on the prepared tray. Place inside the cup and starts the air fryer at 200 degrees for 5 minutes. Preheat the bought calamari and chips. Meantime, line another square shallow tray with foil for salmon. Set aside.

Next, wash and pat the salmon piece dry with paper towels. Then, shake some black pepper, salt, cayenne powder, and add garlic powder into a shallow plate with oil. Mix well, using a brush, and brush all over the salmon piece. Transfer to the prepared tray, placing skin side up. Shake some more salt and black pepper on the skin.

When the timer is up, bring out the big cup of the air fryer, removed the calamari and chips tray with food clipper and put on plate mat, cover with tented foil. Place the salmon on tray into the cup of air fryer, place the cup back into the machine. The same temperature and cook salmon for 10-12 minutes until the skin and salmon flesh is cooked pink.

In the last 3-5 minutes cooking time, stop the air fryer bring out the and transfer the calamari and chips to the salmon tray, lightly spray oil. Then put back cup and continue to cook salmon; reheat calamari and chips.

When done, bring out the cup of air fryer, remove the tray with food clipper as its very hot. Season with additional salt and pepper as needed. Then transfer the salmon, calamari and chips to the plate. Then scoop the tartare onto plate in between the salmon and chips. Enjoy with a cold beer!!!
