I found I have leftover bought already season burger beef and burger bun. Then I have some spinach, 2 pieces salami and cucumber. Just a few simple ingredients to have for my lunch today and I am going to sit in the backyard to view my cherry blossom tree in this beautiful sunny day.
Google: “Beef burger is a sandwich consisting of a fried cake of minced beef served on a bun, often with other ingredients. The mixture is mostly finely chopped but it may contain pieces of semi-ground meat. Stuffed in edible (usually natural) casings and segmented mostly by twisting. – Burger meat: with a minimum vegetable and/or cereal content of 4% mixed within the meat.”
“The patty itself contains unsaturated fats which can lower bad cholesterol levels while raising good ones. Burgers also contain a variety of essential nutrients including fiber, which can help promote healthy digestion. However, there’s more to consider when it comes to eating burgers in moderation.”
Today, I prefer just some spinach, don’t want to waste my 2 leftover salami pieces, and 3 cucumbers. Notice today no red chili on my burger. Run out of chili sauce, got to buy two big bottles next trip to supermarket. My simple lunch is delicious and comforting. Let’s cook!!!
Ingredients
1 beef burger patty (Bought)
2 salami slices, cut into tiny pieces
baby spinach leaves
3 cucumbers, sliced
1 slice of cheese
butter
oil (OPT)
Method
Heat saucepan with 2 Tbs butter and 1 Tsp oil, on medium heat. Once butter melted place the burger patty in a mini saucepan the right size for one burger patty. Cook and press down the patty with flat metal spoon wide enough for pressing down burger for about 3-5 minutes. You can use spatula to press burger patty.
Remove the metal spoon, and burger to check has it browned and the meat at the bottom is not pink. Then flip it over to the other side. Press down again for a further 3-5 minutes or until the juices run clear. Don’t want to burnt you burger patty. But you want your burger patty to be cooked.
Removed the cooked burger to a paper towel. Meantime cut the buns open in halved. Then butter the bun on both sides. Place some baby spinach, followed by a piece of cheese, cooked burger and then cucumber slices and scatter some tiny bite salami all over the spinach and burger patty. Enjoy with a cold Asashi beer and the sunshine!!!!
Note: You can add any vegetables: cos lettuces, salads or pickles. You can add bacon, guacamole, ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, dijon mustard, relish cheese, beetroot or onion rings.
