Bought shin ram yun noodles, pork balls, sliced mushrooms, and have leftover spinach. After cleaning the whole house, I feel so tired yet hungry. I’ve got to eat something before I faint.
“Pork balls are Asian-inspired, bite-sized meatballs made from ground pork, starch, and seasonings, known for their chewy texture. They are rich in high-quality protein, B vitamins, and iron, which are essential for muscle health, energy metabolism, brain function, and blood cell formation. A serving can provide over 20 g of protein, and the heme-iron in pork is easily absorbed, while thiamin supports a healthy metabolism. Additionally, they contain necessary fats for insulation and the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.”
“Sliced mushrooms: white button, cremini, or shiitake, are low-calorie, nutrient-dense foods rich in B vitamins, selenium, potassium, and antioxidants: support immunity and heart health while aiding in weight management. They uniquely contain vitamin D, important for bone health, and have compounds promoting gut health. Their umami flavour also makes them an excellent meat substitute.”
“Baby spinach, harvested early from young Spinacia oleracea leaves, has a milder flavour and tender texture compared to mature spinach. It is a nutrient-dense superfood rich in iron, fiber, folate, and vitamins A, C, and K, promoting heart health and immunity while strengthening bones and enhancing iron levels. It contains nitrates that lower blood pressure and reduce heart disease risk, along with antioxidants like lutein and zeaxanthin for eye protection and vitamin A for skin health. Due to its softness, it’s perfect for salads or lightly cooked dishes.”
