Got some leftovers of papaya, medley tomatoes, blueberries and sour cream. I don’t like to waste food. Best finished off and then I can get new batch of fruits and sour cream.
“Papaya is a tropical fruit with pinkish-orange flesh, rich in vitamins C and A, fiber, and antioxidants like lycopene. Its benefits include boosting immunity, aiding digestion, and offering anti-inflammatory and anticancer properties. The enzyme papain helps with protein digestion, while potassium supports heart health. Papaya contributes to healthy skin by promoting collagen formation and reducing oxidative stress. Additionally, it contains lutein and zeaxanthin, which protect eye health and may prevent age-related diseases.”
“Medley tomatoes are a colourful mix of small, sweet varieties, rich in antioxidants like lycopene and vitamins C, A, and K, along with potassium and fiber. They offer versatility for various dishes and promote digestive and overall health. Their diverse flavours and textures, along with health benefits linked to heart disease reduction and improved vision, make them a smart choice for a healthy diet.”
“Blueberries are small, nutrient-rich fruits known for their high levels of antioxidants, vitamins, and fiber, earning them the “superfood” title. They offer various health benefits, such as protecting against heart disease and Type 2 diabetes, reducing inflammation, promoting gut health, and enhancing memory. Key compounds include anthocyanins, which provide their blue-purple colour and contribute to their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Blueberries are low in calories and high in nutrients like manganese and Vitamin C. They help regulate blood sugar, improve blood vessel health, and may lower cancer risk due to their antioxidant properties. As part of a weight management plan, they are beneficial, but individuals on blood-thinning medications should consult a doctor before increasing intake due to Vitamin K content.”
“Sour cream is a thick, tangy dairy product that provides probiotics beneficial for digestion and immunity, contains essential nutrients like calcium and vitamin A, and aids in fat-soluble vitamin absorption. However, it is high in saturated fat and calories, so moderation is key. Made by fermenting cream with lactic acid bacteria, it enhances dishes like tacos and chili and can be used in baking. While it offers nutrients and healthy fats that promote satiety, individuals with heart or liver issues should opt for light or fat-free versions.” Let’s drink healthy!!!
