Meal for one
Bought mortadella, salad, and cucumber to go along with my last few slices of bread. At times, you would like a simple, healthy lunch without the hassle of washing up all the utensils. We do need a break from the kitchen, so the kitchen needs a break from messiness and smells of food.
“Mortadella is a smooth Italian sausage made from finely ground pork, often containing pistachios. It is high in complete proteins and B-group vitamins, such as B1, B6, and B12, essential for muscle maintenance and nerve function. While it provides beneficial minerals like iron, zinc, and selenium, supporting immune health and energy production, it is high in calories and fat. It should be consumed in moderation, particularly by those with dietary restrictions or hypertension due to its sodium content.”
Now this may be simple meal; yet it can be transformed into a beautiful, creative, healthy and delicious meal. Let’s get healthy and creative!!!

Ingredients
2 slices of bread
1 slice of mortadella
salad
cucumber
butter or margarine
chili sauce
Method
Wash and dry salad with the salad dryer equipment or on towel. Place the 2 slices of bread into the toaster and toast them. Immediately, spread butter on both the toasted bread.
Once the bread pops up from the toaster, lay the mortadella on one of the toasted breads, followed by salad, and place 4 cut pieces of cucumber on top of the salad. Dollop 4 dollops of chili sauce on top of the cucumber pieces. Now place the second buttered toasted bread on top. Serve immediately. Enjoy!!!

Note: Instead of mortadella, you can use any sliced cured meat of your choice. You can omit chili sauce, use tomato or make your own hummus. You can add cheese. You can use cream cheese instead of butter.
