Cos lettuce celery with marmalade jam

Ever wanted to have green vegetables? We need some green vegetables in our food. This is a simple easy quick meal which is healthy. Once in a while we do really need to just have vegetables and no meat in our diet.

I saw some fresh nice cos lettuces and celery. So, I bought them and cook it. In addition to it I have added marmalade jam to balance salt, and sweetness of this vegetables. Be creative and bold in my cooking. Serve it with rice. Let’s cook!!!


1-2 bunches of cos lettuce, washed, cut into bite size
2 stalks celery, washed, cut into bite size
3–5 Tbs olive oil
2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
3 Tbs marmalade jam
1/4 c water or even less about 1/8 c
salt and white pepper


Heat saucepan with oil. Then fry garlic until fragrant, add celery fry for 3 minutes. Then add cos lettuce; fry a further 5 minutes until wilted. Next season with salt and pepper. Then add a bit of water and marmalade stir well to mix in.

Remove from saucepan serve hot with rice and other vegetables dishes. Serve it also with a glass of white wine.
