Apple cinnamon oat chia and orange caramelised pudding

Felt like having oats. Have not had it for ages. As the microwave sachets oat are on sale, I bought them. I got the apple cinnamon flavoured. Also, I bought one orange a few days ago maybe a week. Best use it before it rotten. Well, my pudding is quick and no hassle to prepare.

I have seen many overnight oats chia pudding on internet. I can’t wait still next day as my craving won’t last till next day. I am not a fan of oats. Just because my eyes had open so big and my mind wouldn’t stop processing and creating.

Well, my pudding is yummy, worth the try to create and eat. Let’s cook before I break down my pantry searching for food to soothes my mind and mouth.

Ingredients

1 sachet apple cinnamon
1/2 c almond milk or your choice or water
2 Tbs chia seeds
1 Tsp honey or molasses or glucose syrup

Garnish

1 orange, cut segments
1 Tbs margarine or butter or oil
2 Tsp orange liqueur (OPT)
3 Tbs demerara sugar or soft light brown sugar

Method

Heat a pan on medium, add margarine let it melt. Add orange and demerara sugar and cook for 5–6 minutes until the oranges are golden and caramelised. In the last 1-2 minutes, add orange liqueur. Make sure sugar are not burn. Set aside to cool.

Meantime, empty apple cinnamon oat into a microwave save bowl and add milk and stir to mix. Microwave on high 30 seconds each time and gives a stir or two for 3 times (90 seconds). Add chia seeds, mix well and rest for about 4 minutes. Spoon oat into a glass or jar. Garnish with orange caramelised. Serve immediately. Enjoy!!!!
