Egg toast

Weekend meal is always simply toast and egg. Or it can be leftovers.  At time I will just have instant noodles with leftovers vegetables. Today, I decided to have toast and egg. I wanted something different creative meal. Nothing really fancy just looks perfect to my eyes.

All I needed are toaster, bread, butter, egg and thyme. Seasoning of course. Let’s get my lazy weekend yet creative meal ready before my stomach growls. It tastes great and am satisfied.

2 slices of bread of your choice
1 egg
thyme leaves
oil spray

Preheat oven 180 degrees C. Put bread in the toaster. When is done, cut a square in the middle of one bread. Then spread butter on both breads. Place bread without hole at the bottom of a tray lined with foil and spray a bit of oil.

Then bread with hole on top. Crack an egg into the hole bread, season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle some thyme into egg. Place four thyme leaves at the four corners.

Put the tray in the oven and cook the egg for about 5-6 minutes. If you want a running yolk, put less time. Enjoy!!!! Serve it with a hot chai tea.
