Fig and goat cheese tarts

My sister gave me a box of little tart cases a few weeks ago. I have been putting it away as I couldn’t think of what to do with it. Today, as I were clearing my pantry, I discovered this tart cases, I thought best use before it expired. First thing came to mine were blue berries custard tarts. My eyes says use figs as I have abundant, don’t waste the figs.

Got goat cheese in my fridge so I decide to use it. Got some cinnamon powder and molasses too. Came out with something creative for weekend snack or perhaps light dessert, using figs and goat cheese. I can eat it while watching TV Program: Jersey Boys.

I am glad to have a dessert perhaps snacks to enjoy. It’s so cute, and fast to do. Take about 12-15 minutes to bake the figs and for the goat cheese to melt. It’s so cute and yummy great. Let’s cook!!!!

Ingredients

9 tart cases
3 plum figs
50 g goat cheese
molasses
cinnamon powder
oil for brushing tart cases (OPT)

Method

Preheat oven 180 degrees C. Line a baking tray with foil. Brush the cases with a bit of oil. Place them on tray. Cut goat cheese to fit in the cases and cut the figs to small wedges.

Place goat cheese first and followed by figs wedges. Drizzle molasses over the top. Bake about 12-15 minutes until cheese melted. Remove from oven. Transfer the mini tarts to plate. Serve warm with beer or hot drink of tea. Enjoy!!!

Note: if you have cream cheese use it or whipped some cream. You can use honey. You may omit cinnamon powder and use paprika or nutmeg.
