Long bread roll with herbs sauce

Want a quick simple meal. Got long bread rolls, and sausages. Don’t want to clean up the stove and wash too many utensils. Here’s a meal you can make, no hassle in the kitchen.

All you need is a food processor to julienne the carrots and cut the cucumber and slice the onion. Then the blender to blend the herbs to make the sauce. Just a pan to fry the sausages.

My bread roll is comfort, delicious and healthy. Let’s make it and then sit in front of TV watch James Bond. The actor is Sean Connery. Enjoy with a bottle of beer.

Ingredients

6 long bread rolls
6 sausages
2 small carrots, juliennes
1 big cucumber, cut into bite size
1 small onion, slices
butter

Herbs sauce

1/2 bunch each flat leaves and curly parsley leaves with stems
1 handful mint leaves
2 Sprigs rosemary
2 Sprigs sage
2 Sprigs basil
1 cup olive oil
1 Tsp garlic minced
1 Tsp grated lemon zest
3 Tbs fresh lemon juice
1/2 Tsp salt
1/2 black pepper

Method

Pan fry sausages with butter until cooked. Set aside. In a blender, add both parsley, mint, oil, lemon zest and juice, black pepper, and salt. Blend until a paste-like sauce forms. Set aside and keep in a sterile bottle for later use with other things.

Cut long bread rolls in halved. Spread a bit of butter in the middle of one half bread roll. Add sausages, carrots, cucumbers, onions and spoon some herbs sauce over. Enjoy!!!!!

Note: You can add lettuces, salad or any vegetables of your choice. You can add mayonnaise or chili sauce or tomato sauce. You can use round bread rolls.
